Within the heart of Hamburg, in Wilhelmsburg, our new mosque will be the largest in Hamburg. About 1000 brothers and sisters will be able to pray withing our 500 m² Masjid. On Friday and for Eid-prayers we can open up the rooms on the first floor and would be able to host at least double that. Our prayer rooms will be warm and welcoming for both men and women, with a flexible room divider that will fulfill the needs of all congregants. The building of such a mosque has been at the heart of our community’s desire for decades as we have grown out of our older building and it’s facilities.

After the day to day running of our mosque, our main focus lies on Youth and Education, as the shaping of our future lies in our children’s hands. Furthermore, our community in Wilhelmsburg is the one of the oldest established Islamic communities in Hamburg, but with respect to it’s members and their age, we are also the youngest. Considering this, we especially emphasized Education and Youth Programm in planning our mosque. There will be 12 rooms for education in total, in order to suffice for weekend classes and there will be a playing room for kids and a recreation room for our youths. Our girl- and boygroups, especially, will have lot’s of new space within our building. Besides a youth centre, we will also have a fitness and sports room. If needed we can also use our classrooms in the weeks for further meetings with youths and our Masjid, of course, will always open to them.
Our Cafeteria gives a space for recreation and talk within our community. Also it can be used for hosting guests and be facilitated for diverse activities.
Our mosque will be barrier-free and have great options for parking, which will make it unique in Hamburg. This ensures a comfortable visit to the mosque and gives us room to host Iftars and charity bazaars.

We have set up spacious toilets and wudu areas for our new builing. There will be two handicapped toilets as well as a toilet for men and women. Besides this, there will be two wudu areas for men and women.
Until know the administration rooms were very small. To make better and professional
administrative work we need separate administrative rooms for men, women and young people.
In our new mosque we separated toilets from washing facilities. We also have barrier-free toilets and washing facilities for those disabled for both genders.
